THAILAND
We have discovered some good and regularly found places in Thailand to camp;
Royal Projects– the Queen had this idea as a way of economically supporting the tribal people of Northern Thailand.
Most of them seem to have accommodation of some sort and lovely grounds to camp in– average cost 50 baht per night.
Dams and Reservoirs– every dam we have visited has lovely gardens, toilets/ showers and allows camping– 50 baht per night.
Hot springs– most seem to let you camp for anything between 40– 100 baht per night and that should include a quick dip!
We have only given the GPS locations of particular favourites below.

Highway information centres– toilet/shower block and picnic table areas that are attached to the road maintenance depots– doesn’t sound great but some of them are in lovely grounds by rivers with bamboo sleeping platforms. The signs are only in Thai but here’s a description of what one looks like
